Description:
The New Product Introduction Planner will establish feasible material procurement schedules that are in alignment with engineering and production availability requirements. Additionally this role requires assessment of production capacity and lead time to coordinate with project timelines and due dates. The key responsibility of the NPI planner is to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure an optimized First Article schedule that is reflected in the MRP system. Responsibilities: •Updating the organization on materials flow impact of schedule changes. •Establishes supply/demand signals in the ERP system by firming, releasing and tracking the flow of work orders in the MRP system. •Serves as a single point of contact to the organization on development, first article, and initial production builds for material availability status •Drives transaction discipline, ensures that Engineering materials are available to support the build schedule. •Establishes and maintains MRP item planning parameters including all lead times for materials •Ensure accurate and timely set up for NIR’s, BOMs, and routers as they are developed •Revises the schedule according to qualification plan, established priorities, and availability of parts & material •Collaborates with all functions to ensure buy in and adherence to the production schedule.

Experience/Skill Requirements:
Effective communication skills to facilitate team work and driving customer satisfaction with internal and external customers. •Experience in working with Oracle. •Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. •3-5 years experience in Production Planning/Scheduling •Must have good verbal, written, communications skills. Must have proven problem-solving skills and ability to work with close-knit teams in a fast-paced environment.
