Precision bolt-action features new precision stock

EXETER, NH (January 2013) — SIG SAUER® has taken its legendary SSG 3000™ bolt-action rifle and added the company’s new Precision Stock to create the SSG 3000 Patrol Rifle.

Featuring a 24″ 1 in 11 twist match-grade barrel, the SSG 3000 Patrol offers unparalleled adjustability and versatility to the precision marksman. The new Precision Stock includes two ½″ length of pull spacers, a seven-position adjustable cheek piece and an ergonomically contoured forend. Integrated 1913 Rail Adapters, quick-detach sling swivel cups and two bipod and sling swivel studs allow the SSG 3000 to be configured to the shooter and the mission at hand.

The heavy tapered barrel is threaded 5/8x24 TPI to accept most muzzle brakes, compensators and suppressors currently available. Also included is a fluted flash hider installed.

Retaining the 60◦ short throw bolt, the new receiver has an integral zero MOA M1913 rail. The adjustable two-stage match trigger breaks cleanly at 3.5 pounds. Chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, the SSG 3000 feeds from a field-proven single-stack box magazine.
