NEWINGTON, N.H. (January 18, 2016)—SIG SAUER, Inc., is pleased to introduce a redesigned SIGM400 Predator hunting rifle to its longgun catalog. Based off the direct-impingement SIGM400®action, the new Predator offers a series of enhanced features optimized for hunters in the field.
In its 5.56mm offering, the SIGM400 is perfect for small game such as prairie dog, or predators likecoyotes. The versatile 300BLK cartridge can be used on game up to whitetail deer and is a popular optionamong feral hog hunters throughout the country.“
Hunting with the modern sporting rifle had gone from fad to an accepted norm,” said John Brasseur, Director of Product Development for SIG SAUER, Inc. “With the SIGM400 Predator, hunters have an exceptional hunting rifle right out of the box, with no upgrades or additions needed.”
At the heart of the SIGM400 Predator is a two-stage match trigger, helping hunters maximize their accuracy with each shot. The hammer forged stainless steel barrel comes in 18″length in 5.56mm and 16″length in 300BLK.
Barrels come threaded for the addition of muzzle devices or suppressors. A top picatinny rail allows for optics to be mounted, and the ALG aluminum free-floating handguard features M-Lok attachment points, allowing for lights, lasers and bipods to be mounted, where local game laws permit.
SIG’s tough, durable hard coat anodized upper and lower receivers fend off the elements, while a 6-position MILSTD telescoping stock allows the SIGM400 predator to be fit properly, even when wearing heavy winter clothing.
The SIGM400 Predator comes with a 5-round detachable box magazine, making it compliant with most state hunting regulations, but also accepts any STANAG AR-pattern magazine. Lightweight, versatile and ergonomically friendly, the SIGM400 Predator is ready for the hunt.
