Team SIG Captain Max Michel Closes 2017 with Dominating Performances

Newington, NH (November 8, 2017)  – SIG SAUER, Inc. announces that Team SIG Captain, Max Michel, closed out the 2017 Shooting Season with two back-to-back state championship wins in Oklahoma and Louisiana while competing in USPSA Carry Optics Division with his P320® RX pistol. Michel took first place at the Oklahoma Sectional Championship held at the United States Shooting Academy in Tulsa, OK on October 20th through the 22nd. With less than a week between events, Max Michel travelled back to his home state of Louisiana to clinch another first place win at the Louisiana Gator Classic held in Princeton, LA on October 27th through the 29th.

“The P320 is such a versatile platform,” said Michel. “Having the ability to change the grip size, caliber as well as add optics truly makes it a unique pistol. The smooth trigger, quick reset and durability of the P320 is second to none and the only choice for me.”

In addition to his division wins, Michel took home the title of Overall Champion at both matches, beating out modified Open Division race guns with his P320® RX Pistol.

“I had a great time competing with the P320RX in both matches on back-to-back weekends and was really excited to win the Overall Championship at both events while going head-to-head with several custom race guns,” said Michel. “It’s exciting to be able to perform at such a high level with a pistol I truly enjoy shooting. The Carry Optics Division, where the P320RX fits best, is a division I am looking forward to shooting more of on a full-time basis during 2018.”
