Flash Hider

A flash hider is a device attached to the end of a rifle barrel that’s designed to disperse the flame emitted from the barrel when a shot is fired. The purpose of a flash hider is to preserve the shooter’s night vision in low light conditions. AR-15-style rifles are typically constructed with what’s called a “birdcage” flash hider, but many aftermarket options exist to help each shooter configure their rifle for specific situations.
