Muzzle Device

Most modern sporting rifles and their equivalents feature a muzzle device attached to the end of the barrel. A muzzle device can be anything from a muzzle brake to a flash hider to a suppressor adapter. Most AR-style rifles are equipped with threaded muzzles that allow shooters to install the right muzzle device for their needs. While less common, some handguns feature muzzle devices, typically in the form of a muzzle brake or compensator.
