Armorer

An armorer is a person who knows how to fully assemble, disassemble, repair, and maintain all parts of a firearm. Armorers are usually certified by an armorer school or other firearms teaching institution such as SIG SAUER Academy to maintain a specific type or group of firearms, such as a “1911 Armorer” or “SIG MCX Armorer.” SIG SAUER Academy, for example, certifies its armorers for three years.
