Brace

The term brace generally refers to an item that is generally located in a similar area of the buttstock and attaches to the rear of a pistol so that a firearm designated as a pistol may be shot one-handed. A brace, or “pistol stabilizing brace,” uses a flexible cuff or other device attached to a supporting mechanism fixed to the pistol. This allows more contact with the shooter’s arm to achieve greater stability.
