Combat sights

Generally used on handguns, combat sights or “combat sight picture” usually refers to high-contrast dots placed on the rear notch and front sight post of a firearm. When aiming at a target, the shooter lines up the dots horizontally with the front sight dot covering the intended point of impact. Combat sights can be constructed with simple dots embossed onto the material or they can have high-contrast fiber optic or tritium inserts that appear brighter in low-light conditions.
