Often dubbed “ball” ammunition, full metal jacket bullets are typically constructed with a soft metal core covered in a harder metal alloy. Generally, full metal jacket bullets feature a lead core with a copper alloy outer shell that both aids shot ballistics and reduce wear inside the barrel.
