Lightening Cuts

Lightening cuts describe material removed from a handgun slide to decrease its weight. Typically, these lightening cuts are see-through gaps cut into the slide near the end of the barrel. Many competition shooters and concealed carry consumers like handguns built with lightening cuts to promote faster draws and manipulation during reloads as well as more comfort when carrying.
