The SIG SAUER line of SLX suppressors is specially designed to reduce the amount of toxic gas blowback into the chamber, ejection port, and charging handle area of semi-automatic rifle platforms during firing. Because suppressors function by containing the gas, flame, and sound of a fired shot, they often cause some of the expended gas to “backflow” down the barrel into the chamber and out the ejection port of a semi-automatic rifle. This can cause serious irritation for the operator, especially under sustained use. The SLX technology includes a proprietary internal multi-flow path built into the suppressor to allow gas to vent forward of the suppressor near the muzzle, reducing the amount of gas venting through the ejection port by upwards of 80 percent. SLX suppressors are constructed with Inconel, an alloy optimized for high-pressure, high-heat applications. https://www.sigsauer.com/slx-suppressor.html
