The term “suppressor-height sights” refers primarily to handgun iron sights that are tall enough for a shooter to obtain a proper sight picture by clearing the circumference of a suppressor attached to the end of the barrel. Suppressor-height-sights also allow shooters to co-witness iron sights should the optic fail due to damage, battery failure, or other issue. Manufacturers are increasingly offering handguns with optional suppressor-height-sights—particularly given the popularity of pistol red dots.
