Traditional Slide

A traditional slide is a SIG SAUER term referencing the slide contour of the SIG SAUER line of 1911 pistols. A traditional slide is rounded and follows the same basic dimensions as traditional 1911 pistols. Some SIG SAUER 1911s have a non-traditional slide contour, sometimes referred to as a “SIG SLIDE,” which exhibits a square profile. This is most important when choosing holsters because a SIG slide will not fit a holster cut for a traditional 1911 slide contour.
