Eye Relief

Eye Relief

The space between a shooter’s eye and the lens of a scope or binoculars is called eye relief. Finding the proper eye relief is important for two main reasons. First, it ensures the shooter can use the full field of view of the scope, delivering the widest target picture for the shooter. Second, proper eye relief maintains a safe distance between the scope lens and the shooter’s eye, so it is not impacted by the recoil of a fired round.
