PVD

PVD

The term PVD is an acronym that stands for “physical vapor deposition” and is used to describe a method for transferring protective coatings to firearms parts. PVD coatings are said to be more durable and more protective of firearms parts than those that are applied via electroplating. PVD coatings are usually more technically difficult to apply and are, therefore, more expensive.
