Personal Defense Weapon (PDW)

The term “personal defense weapon” typically refers to firearms designed specifically for close-quarters protection. Usually, these firearms are more compact than rifles, but are more effective at intermediate ranges than handguns and feature magazines that hold more ammunition than a handgun. An example is the SIG SAUER RATTLER. Featuring a 5.5-inch barrel and chambered in either .223/5.56 NATO or .300 Blackout, the RATTLER has a 23-inch overall length: its folding stock allowing for transportation and deployment in tight spaces. It is highly capable at distances out to 100 meters and beyond.
