NEWINGTON, N.H., (August 13, 2019) – This week the NRA’s American Rifleman TV will feature The Making of the U.S. M17; an in-depth feature about the success of the SIG SAUER Modular Handgun System. The episode chronicles the U.S. Army’s exhaustive search for a new sidearm, the development of the SIG SAUER P320 handgun that would eventually become the M17, and ultimately the fielding of the M17 and M18 with all branches of the U.S. Military, and the overall success of the program.
