Micro Compact

The term micro-compact refers to the size and design of a handgun. Typically, micro compact handguns are designed to feature extremely narrow grips and frames. With average barrel lengths around three inches, these types of pistols are popular for concealed carry, especially when wearing low-profile cover garments such as gym shorts, leggings, or formal clothing. The disadvantage of micro compact handguns is that many designs usually result in a lower round count of six or seven 9mm cartridges. That is why the SIG SAUER P365 is so revolutionary; it has the same profile and size as a micro-compact but comes standard with a specially designed magazine that accommodates 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition, with additional accessory magazines holding 12, 15, or 17 rounds of 9mm respectively.
