Spotting Scope

Spotting Scope

A spotting scope is a standalone magnified optic used to help identify a target and assist with precision shooting accuracy. Typically, a spotting scope is a monocular telescope-like optic that is generally mounted to a tripod for stability. Some spotting scopes are designed with precision reticles built into them, measured in either Mils (mil radians) or MOA. Spotting scopes are used by precision shooter teams where the “spotter” helps talk the shooter into a more accurate shot. They’re also often used by hunters to need a high-magnification optic to properly identify game and execute a precise shot.
