Target sights in context to SIG SAUER refer to pistols sights that are meant for competition or target shooting. They usually do not offer the low-light capabilities of night sights. They may not have any markings or dots on them. In most instances, they will have a degree of end-user adjustment for windage and elevation. Once the front sight blade and rear sight notch are in alignment, the intended point of impact is aligned above the top of the front blade. This is different than Combat sights which are designed to have the point of aim cover the intended point of impact on the target.
