SIG KILO 2400ABS Awarded Optic of the Year
Newington, NH (August 3, 2017) – SIG SAUER Inc., The Complete Systems ProviderTM, recently secured top honors at the 2017 Industry Choice Awards (ICA) held at the Roccastle Shooting Center in Park City, Kentucky. The KILO2400ABS, the world’s most advanced rangefinder, took home the prize in the optics category, which includes riflescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars and rangefinders.
“To win Optic of the Year is a tremendous honor for SIG,” said Andy York, President of SIG SAUER Electro-Optics. “We strive to build the best products possible, and to be recognized for doing just that is a testament to the ingenuity and dedication of our talented team.”
This is the second year for the ICA, and it also marks the second straight year SIG earned top honors at this prestigious event. At last year’s inaugural convention, the 9mm V-Crown Elite Performance Ammunition outperformed the rest of the competition and earned the coveted ICA Ammunition of the Year award.
At this year’s event, the ICA scaled up its evaluator selection and meticulously picked an unbiased group of 30 product testers comprised of gunsmiths, range owners, competitive shooters, instructors, law enforcement and military members. After 72 hours of detailed analysis, the KILO2400ABS rangefinder emerged as the champion of the optics division, earning praise for its sleek design, intuitive operation and the ability to range even small objects at extreme distance. Testers said the addition of Applied Ballistics software added tremendous value to the product.
